This on-line course is an introduction to Individual Placement and Support (IPS) service. It is designed to assist behavioral health staff to develop a stronger understanding of the IPS model. This webinar is presented by the North Carolina Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Substance Abuse Services staff and will fulfill training requirements per the Employment Behavioral Health Treatment policy.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this module, participants will be able to:
- Describe how employment impacts wellness and benefits all people who have a mental illness.
- Apply the philosophy and practice principles of the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model.
- Identify the components of behavioral health integration.
- Verbalize how all roles within the behavioral health agency can support the implementation of IPS.

This course has NOT been pre-approved for continuing education by any licensing boards or associations. It is approved for NC Certified Peer Support Specialist certification and/or recertification.
