An Introduction to Children with Complex Needs: Driving Clinical Innovations to Prepare and Empower the Emerging Workforce
Children with complex needs deserve holistic, tailored support to achieve fulfilling lives in the least restrictive setting, which includes proactive caregiver assistance for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
This course will delve into the historical context surrounding children with complex needs, the key elements of the settlement agreement between Disability Rights and the State of North Carolina, and the range of initiatives developed to effectively address this vulnerable population's behavioral and physical needs.
This training course will take learners approximately 2 hours to complete.
UNC SSW, 1406, is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved as ACE providers. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit.
