
Training Description:
This interactive training will provide participants with an opportunity to expand their knowledge of sensory integration. Learners will be able to learn and practice hands-on strategies with consultation and instruction from an occupational therapist. All who join this training will leave with sensory items and an increased understanding of ways to utilize this in the support of youth with complex needs.
Learning Objectives:
Following this training, participants will be able to:
- Define key terminology regarding sensory integration
- Increase understanding of how sensory integration can be used to support youth with complex needs
- Practice interventions to support youth with differing sensory needs
- Identify resources for supporting youth with differing sensory needs
