Overview

This online, self-paced course explores how Motivational Interviewing (MI) can be applied beyond traditional therapy settings. Learners will examine how MI supports change in organizational, educational, and criminal justice environments.

 
The course also introduces Macro MI, an emerging hybrid approach that expands MI practice beyond a client’s internal thoughts and emotions to include the broader systems, such as family, community, and organizations that influence behavior.
Delivery
This course consists of 4 online, self-paced learning modules, each approximately 1 hour in length, a learning assessment, and a course evaluation.
