CBH Annual Conference: Macro to Micro Navigating NC's Systems of Care

October 30 – November 1, 2024
Location: Hotel Ballast, Tapestry Collection by Hilton
301 N Water St, Wilmington, NC 28401

This conference aims to provide training, education and information that will enhance service provision for agencies, organizations, and individual practitioners working to support child behavioral health in NC.

NC’s child behavioral health systems of care are influenced by several factors that determine both the type and quality of services provided to NC children and families. These factors include the policies that govern NC service provision; the research that informs those policies and practices; and the sociocultural challenges that impact the daily lived experiences of NC families and communities. To recognize that NC currently has a larger need for child behavioral health services than our system has the capacity to provide, means that careful attention must be paid the well-being of not just the children themselves, but also the individuals tasked with meeting their behavioral health needs.

This conference will be in-person. Each participant will have the opportunity to attend 3 general sessions and 4 breakout sessions. There will be 16 breakout sessions for participants to choose from based on 4 tracks and 4 levels (Mirco, Mezzo, Systems of Integration, Macro). Participants will also be engaged in focus group sessions to kick-off the conference. This will allow participants to share what they are noticing in their specialized areas of practice so these needs may be addressed.
