Overview:
Mental Health First Aid is an 8-hour training that focuses on the skills to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. Just as CPR training helps a layperson without medical training assist an individual following a heart attack, Mental Health First Aid training helps a layperson assist someone experiencing a mental health crisis.
This training will be a blended course module. There will be 2 hours of prework, and then a 6 hour live virtual session.
Audience:
This training is open to any person looking to take the MFHA curriculum outside of UNC Chaple Hill students, faculty, and staff. If you are a UNC Chapel Hill student faculty or staff member please visit here to get connected with a training.
