BHS General Training Policies

ADA Policy

Registrants requiring any of the auxiliary aids or services identified in the Americans with Disabilities Act to participate in our training programs, please contact us by email at bhs-support@unc.edu or by phone at (919) 445-0990 after completing registration to ensure we have enough time to secure the requested services.

Inclement Weather Policy

Any announcements regarding changes to the schedule due to inclement weather will be posted on our website, https://bhs.unc.edu.  Registered participants will also be notified by email.

Cancelation/Rescheduling a Training Policy

If a training is delayed by a minimum of 20 minutes or less the staff, trainer, and any other parties involved will work together to make sure the training still occurs and communicate with the participants to keep them updated. If a training is delayed by more than 20 minutes due to technical issues then the training may be canceled or rescheduled for a later date. The decision to cancel or reschedule a training will be a mutual decision between all parties involved, as well as, agreeing to a new date if the training will be rescheduled.

General Training Refund Policy

Trainings with a registration fee over $25 are refundable. Registrants may request a refund up to two weeks prior to training occurring. Trainings with a registration fee of $25 or less will be non-refundable.

Continuing Education Policy

Behavioral Health Springboard does not issue partial credit for any trainings. Participants are only allowed to miss a certain amount of time and still be able to receive contact hours for attending a training.

  • For a 1-hour webinar/training participants are only allowed to miss 15 minutes and still receive credit.
  • For a 2-to-6-hour webinar/training participants are only allowed to miss 30 minutes and still receive credit.
  • For a 12-to-13-hour webinar/training participants are only allowed to miss 1 hour and still receive credit.

Training Completion and Certification Notification Policy

Immediately after the training concludes participants will receive an email notifying them of the process and the manner, they will gain access to the evaluation and the certificate of completion for the training. The Certificate of Completion email will go within 3 to 5 business days after the training concludes to participants who met the time requirement listed in the continuing education policy based on the length of the training.
