Communication Charts: Person Centered Tools and Practices

Web image

A Communication Chart is an essential tool to use when people don’t communicate with words or who communicate with behavior. It is easy to assume that someone doesn’t have much to say if they rarely speak, but it isn’t the case. This person-centered thinking tool helps us to find other ways of communicating well together by leading the user through several key questions around what it is you are observing at the time, what you think it means, and how best to respond to support a person.
